Weddings 2010, Our Color Picks!

You may have been hearing a lot of talk about how the recession will be impacting the wedding scene this year….blah blah blah. In response, this year’s wedding party will flaunt colors that will be bold and bright! It’s great to see Coral making it’s way back to the scene and we just love that Orange is coming into the mix, done right it looks fabulous. So, here are our top picks and color combos for a fun, elegant, and classy 2010 wedding scene.

Turquoise was hot last year in the home decor world and will carry over into wedding season this year and paired with Hot Pink the look is perfect for tropical themed or destination weddings. Don’t rule out Orange, maybe it’s not on your radar for traditional wedding colors, but combined with the right illustrations and paper selection it can make for a stunning wedding suite.

Coral is back in a big way and we’ve combined it with Grey for a sophisticated color palette. Turquoise and Chocolate is an earthy mix, and our personal favorite. If you’re going for that “Old Hollywood” look try Red and Beige, a timeless classic.

Remember when we said to be on the lookout for military colors? Well, here they are. These not so traditional wedding colors are considered neutrals in our book. Pair them with crisp Whites or warm them up with any Spring/Summer tone.

If you’re not into the brights, look no further, soft and subtle colors can be very chic for your special day. We love the light and airy ethereal feel and this is a trend that would work with a wide variety of wedding color concepts.

Prints are back in a big way, with a 90′s twist. We would recommend integrating them into the bridesmaid dresses, table linens, accessories, or just a punch of pattern hiding inside a jacket (unexpected and fun way to add your own personal style).

Here’s to a “colorful” 2010 :)
